especially glad i picked up the plat. dvds a few years back given that the UK can't access criterion. getting to keep fly me to the moon (and the many variants throughout the series) is a neat bonus

Yeah same here. And then I showed her an episode from my platinum ADV disc and she said that "Fly me to the moon" is like a tonal whiplash that changes the show, and I agree. Always ending with a breezy "Fly me to the moon" is a palette cleanser, the current piano BGM just makes the show depressing.

It's not Frank, it's the businessmen that own his music, but at least I'm happy that Harlan Ellison completely humiliated Frank and his rat pack lol.

Having rewatched it when it dropped on Netflix, with my wife who’d never seen it, I can’t say its absence ruins the show. I can say I sorely, sorely miss it.
