Watching “Elf” for the first time, and I have questions. First, why did the puffin in the opening have FOUR EYES???

Why does Santa not recognize that there was a child in the room? And why wasn’t the fireplace lit???

Can’t wait for the director’s cut, where the elves all wave “Deport Buddy Now” signs.

Buddy the Elf, who was growing a beard at 15, makes a multi day journey across several biomes on his way to New York, yet never gets so much as a 5 o’clock shadow. No luggage. No overnight bag. No shaving kit. This movie is really killing my immersion.

Given his reaction to the Passion Fruit Spray, Buddy is pretty damned lucky that Jovie didn’t mace him at work
