House Democrats are fighting back against Trump's Tax Scam by getting Republicans on the record. Democrats have introduced over 100 amendments to protect people's health care but Republicans have voted down all of them, including: Requiring HHS to certify the bill won't reduce Medicaid coverage. 🧵

@menendez.house.gov sets the record straight on Republicans' red tape requirements. This isn't about work—it's about kicking people off their health care.

Rep. @menendez.house.gov's amendment to block the bill if it resulted in deaths due to reduced healthcare access. Reinstating ACA subsidies to keep millions on their health insurance. Increasing the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit and making it refundable. Preserving clean energy incentives.

Ending Trump's emergency tariff powers. 4 amendments to stop tax cuts for the ultra wealthy, but the GOP refused to cut off tax breaks for anyone making over $100 million. House Democrats deserve credit for forcing Republicans to take all these unpopular votes and make their real intentions clear.

Trump's Tax Scam is about making billionaires richer while screwing over everyone else. Republicans want to get this vote done ASAP before their constituents find out how the GOP bill would hurt their communities. Use our Stop The Cuts toolkit to help raise awareness. 👇

Too bad Maga morons wont hear this and don't understand that most of the Americans on Medicade are white elderly and white poor Americans.

We have to stop putting all the blame on trump. He has handlers, he is too stupid to come up with all this shit by himself. Those close to him and every republican are to blame. Remember this when you vote. EVERY REPUBLICAN IS TO BLAME.

Nowadays “getting them on the record” is totally meaningless. When was the last time a Republican was held to account for being a: 1) flaming hypocrite; 2) blatant & open liar; 3) ignorant scumbag? It’s been decades. “On the record” doesn’t mean diddly-squat anymore & you all need to realize that.1/

Tactics need to change and adapt to this political climate. That’s where the focus needs to be. Indivisible should be figuring out what the new secret sauce is to get through to people. 2/2

Right now U.S. Republicans in Congress are jammed up a) the protests are working to make the most vulnerable nervous (keep calling and protesting) b) they DO NOT want their constituents to realize they are set to cut $880 B from Medicaid and MORE c) they are at odds with each other Push Hard Now

Republican Congress: Your calculus is now this; it's very simple Move against the administration The first ones to do so will be labeled 'courageous' and 'patriotic', while the last ones to do so will be primaried You are in power, now That U.S. Congressional switchboard number is 202-224-3121

Pro(tester) Tip: If you march at a busy intersection, use the crosswalk and erupt in thunderous noise as you cross. Then, let cars go, wait for the next signal to erupt again. Repeat Blocking traffic gives police an excuse to stop you, _and_ letting cars go gets the word out to more happy drivers!
