The No Kings mobilizations on June 14 were already planned as a peaceful stand against authoritarian overreach and the gross abuse of power Trump’s Administration has shown. Now, this military escalation only confirms what we’ve known: This government wants to rule by force, not serve the people.

Trump's decision to deploy the National Guard against protests the *LAPD* commended for their nonviolence is a clear attempt to escalate, sow chaos, and chill dissent. First with the ICE raids, then with this militarized response, we're seeing the tyranny of the Trump regime on full display.

In 2020 students in Hong Kong used their cell phones to organize a city-wide protest against the Chinese. Their methods have been copied globally. When you look at a crowd, remember that every person has a phone. The crowd can coordinate just as well as and move just as quickly as the police.

I was stoked to see how many dots on the map are in my home state of NC which has been red through and through as long as I’ve been alive. Dots in more rural areas that were certainly heavily pro-Trump. Glad to see people stepping up to say enough is enough.

On May 4, 1970, during a rally opposing the Vietnam War, National Guard troops opened fire on student demonstrators at Kent State University. The soldiers fired about 67 rounds over 13 seconds, killing two demonstrators and two in a nearby crowd. (Every protest is a confrontation. Never pretend.)

Look at the map - just a reminder that there are no f’n people in the red parts of the US that torture the rest of us. This must be corrected - its why people dont come out to vote. So many of us dont count.

He’s only doing this to make everyone afraid to go to “No Kings”. Worried it’s going to ruin his big birthday party. If everyone thinks what’s happening in LA is going to happen everywhere, they’ll stay home. We can’t let him win this. If we don’t show up he’ll think he’s got the power he craves.

While it is critical that we all remain nonviolent on No Kings Day, it is especially critical for all Californians to remain nonviolent. They chose some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, so they can serve as proof that turning the other cheek really works. Americans will be watching.

While my gut tells me you're correct, I'm willing to give peace a chance, and I think CA is the best state to prove it. After all, they forfeited their civil liberty and Constitutional Right to secure a free state. So let's see if they can pull it off.

Trump is flexing his muscle because he does not want folks to be in the streets on June 14…..he wants folks watching his ego parade……WE NEED TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE WHO IS OUT ON SATURDAY KEEPS IT PEACEFUL…….DANCING IN THE STREETS…..NOT LOBBING OBJECTS…..NO CONFRONTATION

He thinks this is going to stop people from attending the No King events. Hopefully the media will put more focus on the No King events and less on his parade

I'll say it again: authoritarian regimes are not swayed by or step back their power through protesting. They'll ignore, then escalate and use that to then strike down even peaceful ones. That it's not happening in your neighborhood doesn't mean it won't happen to you. Prepare, stay calm and focused.

The Reichstag fire, after Hitler became chancellor in 1933, was his excuse to take total power. Suspends individual rights. The crackdown on protesters in California is Trump's Reichtag fire. We mustn't let history repeat itself with America's Hitler. Vote the bastards out of office.
