Our @roanokeindivisible.bsky.social #NoKings event was AMAZING. We had thousands show up in our small town, coming together in joyful protest and communion. Lots of connections made. I'm ready to do it again and again until we claw back our democracy. In the meantime, organize and build community!

People are pumped up! Now we need to pressure Congress to do its job! We need a Checks and Balances Day! How does November 1 sound? While Congress lets trump steamroll our country, he has a blank check to do anything he wants — and he’s doing it! We need to pressure Congress to do its job!

Look at how other places did it. What about a huge perpetual March in DC? A general strike? There's so many ways to accomplish it if we keep uniting.

A national work stoppage is what should be next.

yep. flood the streets and make life difficult for businesses etc then they will concede some power. marching around gets people pumped but we need policy demands and actions that will actually achieve those demands.

AT MINIMUM. sit ins and die ins that block everyday activities and make demands without capitulation.

This morning David Brooks on MSNBC said our movement needs leaders. He doesn’t get it. We aren’t zombies walking around in some brainless, leaderless way. The people are all leaders.

It would be amazing if instead of going shopping on Black Friday, we all went out to protest. Hurt their wallets.

Taxation without representation, we have very specific FACTS to make this argument LOUDLY.
