As the bill moves to the Senate, Democrats have a responsibility to draw a line. Putting actual guardrails on ICE is the bare minimum here. Allowing Trump’s brutal secret police force to operate with essentially a blank check is unacceptable.

Renee Nicole Good was not the first person killed by ICE, and without immediate, enforceable action to limit the power of DHS, ICE, and Customs and Border Protection, she will not be the last. Strongly worded statements are performative bullshit unless they’re followed with concrete votes.

Pelosi would have never allowed a single defector let alone seven, on a vote like this! Hakeem needs to learn the difference between being a leader and just being at the front of the line.

I don't trust them for one minute. They will betray us as they have all along now and leave it on our shoulders to do the work that is needed. We will not back down. We will stand up for our neighbors and communities.
