If Americans want to abolish ICE they will have to do it themselves because Democrrats are feckless weaklings who will settly for reforms. That only gives the impression that somehting has been done when settling for reforms will only perpetuate the ongoing crimes of the state against the people

Chuck Schumer doesn't deserve praise for this! Him and Hakeem Jeffries have done NOTHING to fight these atrocities by this evil Regime.

It looks like they might separate ICE funding from the rest of the govt. OK, but only if that means less money for ICE. The more the rest of the govt runs the less ICE gets.

Even if they get what they are asking for in a news DHS funding bill, what mechanism will there be for enforcement? Making new rules when they don't follow the old ones seems unlikely to change anything.

The reforms are meaningless w/o automatic enforcement measures. Eg, if the govt violates a court order, all funding is eliminated. That was the BIG mistake of the Epstein Transparency Act. No automatic enforcement as suggested above.
