Congrats to Toyota. They’ve spent years hammering “electrified” into the EV discussion so all media now use the term to bundle hybrids with EVs. Toyota once made one hybrid. Prius. Now everything is a hybrid. Which is why they sell more “electrified.” It’s basic math.

Well done. And let's thank a certain American political figure for highlighting most acutely why it's a good idea to get away from fossil fuel dependence. That he spent the last few years trying to promote America as the #1 source for oil is a whole nother story 😅

Whatever the mechanism, he's boosted solar panel sales, EV sales, and battery system sales like no US president has ever done. Irony is not just a closed book to him, but a burned and buried book as well. (h/t Douglas Adams)

Toyota’s "multi-pathway" strategy proved brilliantly pragmatic. By mastering hybrids first, they generated massive cash flow and buyer trust while battery costs cooled. Now, as pure EV adoption slows elsewhere Toyota is quietly scaling up BEVs alongside their dominant hybrids to capture both markets

It’s about time that Toyota got on board with EV’s after slagging them off for 10 years whilst promoting their polluting hybrids
