Question for @bsky.app, @jay.bsky.team, @pfrazee.com, or anybody else that might know: does the presence and/or quality of the ALT text in Bluesky posts have any impact on rankings in the Discover feed? | 🦋 (actual footage of us working our fingers to the bone trying to write helpful ALT texts ⬇️)

I don't think we downrank for not having it, but I do think the alt text can help as input data

Cool, thanks Paul. 🙌🏻 That’s actually *better* than we thought would be the case. We were assuming it wasn’t a factor at all. Perhaps a worthwhile use of AI, assuming it’s capable, would be for it to assess the quality of the ALT and then specifically feed that resulting metric into Discover?💡
