Under the 5th Amendment, DHS can seize this property for "public use" as long as they pay fair market value—a power that almost always favors the government over the owner. Not the flex you think it is.

What concerns me is: they already have enough detainment centers to house every single immigrant (legal and illegal). The ones they are trying to get and have managed to get aren't for them.

Please note that this happened in one of the reddest communities in VA. Overwhelmingly GOP. Don't write off the red areas.

We all have to make the decision to sacrifice. Everyone has a different tolerance, but we all need to do what we can - streaming, shopping, travel. So much to give up, but we need to make a stand. Thank you.

The reds in Berks Cty, PA already sold a large warehouse to DHS to be used as an immigrant jail. Done very quietly.
