The economy is adjusting as expected. It's basic supply & demand. Workforce is shrinking. Migrant workers were deported. Americans won't accept low wages. Yet unemployment is steady and low. As demand for workers increases. Employers will have to lure Americans back with higher wages.

The bill to date for tRump's war is over $4000 per every single American. An American's average tariff bill is over $1100. Trump's mass deportation push is costing U.S. taxpayers $2,358 each, new research from @epi.org & @nationalpriorities.bsky.social found this month. Gas is @ $4.30 per gallon.

And not a single American benefits.

Well, forget the Iran war, this is crazy!

And simultaneously removing their tax contributions and purchasing impact to the economy, it’s a triple negative. What’s the gain here?

It makes me sick to think that it might take high costs to lead to greater humanity, or high fuel prices to foster a desire for peace. Self-interest is supposed to sort things out instead of empathy. That's so sick!

And yet Obama deported many more, without deploying ICE to blue cities and massive concentration camps.

I am not thrilled that this is how tax dollars are being spent when so many people are in need. However, I am more concerned with the human cost, the trauma, that all of this is causing.

The true opportunity cost is far, far greater - lost payments for state and local taxes, stalled investments because there is no labor, rising labor costs due to supply and demand, etc.
