Again my column, vindicated somewhat by the result in Chicago, where they played a simpler, more efficient game. The road can be a friendly place.

My column on a team, now minus captain Nick Suzuki, badly in need of a very timely road trip. montrealgazette.com/sports/todd-...

montrealgazette.comTodd: Four-game road trip coming at perfect time for embattled CanadiensAfter uneven start to season and now an injury to their captain, Habs need to come together as a team.

It helps that the Blackhawks play a putrid game.

It's kind of puzzling why the Habs seem to play better on the road than at home. Yes,the pressure at home is undeniable. Still, teams play all season long for home ice advantage in the playoffs. It doesn't seem to be much of an advantage for Montreal

They did what they had to do to win, let’s see if they can carry this over to stronger competition.

My thoughts exactly when watching the game: a good road game!
