I see the lovely Japanese series Midnight Diner is back on Netflix. So much better than most of the American slop that is out there. A series of vignettes of lives in one neighbourhood of the vast city of Tokyo, like deft short stories, centered around one late night diner and the man who runs it.

Yes a couple of episodes of a new season are out. Wonderful change from "big city detective returns to her home town and finds herself on the trail of a serial killer."
