i think regardless of your stance on whether defend is good, i think it's generally true that removing strikes is better because you're more likely to get access to good damage and at a higher quantity than you are good block. defends are fine when you get a good one every 2-3 rewards. strikes? eh

Strikes are often the first removal choice because replacing them with better damage cards is very easy!
