I finally have something to share here. How often do you copy something, then edit it before pasting it? Remove tracking parameters, shorten a URL, clean up text, turn a bullet list into Markdown list… I built Clipboard Transformer for that: github.com/jag-k/clipbo... #OpenSource #Productivity

Clipboard Transformer is a native, configurable clipboard transformation tool for macOS, Windows, and Linux. It has a tray app and a CLI. Rules are YAML; the project is open source. It works system-wide, not only in a browser.

Rules can be simple, but also compose local or remote imports, nested rulesets, native shell/item-shell rules, and capability-scoped WASM plugins. For example, the GitLab plugin turns GitLab URLs into Markdown links and can resolve titles via an explicitly permitted GitLab API.

I use a shared URL-cleanup pack with 1030+ site-specific rules alongside local personal/work rules. Just add this into your config.yml for a project: ```yaml rules: - import: gist.github.com/jag-k/3f9cd1... ```

And if have an issue with creating a rules -- ask AI! npx skills add jag-k/clipboard-transformer

Next plans: a browser extension for the portable subset, a docs site, and a visual rule debugger/editor. Feedback and transformation ideas are very welcome.
