Our Common Ground (@cgroundpolitics.bsky.social) team spoke to dozens of participants at today's separatist rally. Today's conversations reinforced my sense that this is not our grandparents' populism or alienation. 🔗https://open.substack.com/pub/drjaredwesley/p/western-alienation-20

Watched some news coverage. Perhaps it was who the cameras gravitated to... but it didn't give of "MENSA meeting" vibes.

Noticed that CBC covers this with 200 people present, but covered nothing on Gaza when thousands were present. Defund CBC.

There were, what, 100 or so people there? That’s how I see it from the photos though it’s hard to tell!

250 by my estimation. Plus counter protestors. I'm no crowd counting expert, though.

This is the best picture I've found so far. (I wasn't there) It's difficult to get a count from this pic. And who is there to protest vs counter protest? Take care all

That’s about right. I’m no expert either but I couldn’t tell if it was 100 or 200. However, it was not massive. You can get 2-250 for almost anything
