It’s an unpalatable truth, but Meta, TikTok, and hopefully it goes without saying, X, aren’t sustainable to rely on for political amplification, cultural promotion/marketing or community organizing. It’s long past time for new platforms/means and to move on.

People hoping this will make good noise for Gibney’s doc are avoiding the issue. There needs to be new, viable platforms and forums for culture and politics within the bounds of free speech. It’s entirely doable. Big platforms have lost users and been replaced. Cede these spaces to their owners.
