this graduation speech moment is notable, and her amazed shock at having failed to read the room feels instructive. when you're inside the bubble, you think everybody else is. but everybody isn't.

The audience is full of people who will not in any way benefit from AI, and will instead find it harder to find jobs, and the jobs they do find will pay less, or suck in other ways, and they will watch the rich get even richer. It's the system we must fix, and we all need to get to work fixing it.

interesting-- how do you pitch this to the folks who think this technology must actively be rejected or destroyed rather than, I don't know, reasoned with? Lots of people including some pretty smart and reasonable ones in that boat
