re @anthropic.com: I've identified industrial-scale copyright violations on my content by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, X, and more. These companies created thousands of crawlers incorporating the text of all my blog posts, open source code, and books into their paid AI models to profit exorbitantly.

😀 This goes exactly to the heart of AI monetization, and it’s a harbinger of what higher/faster reasoning AI will usher in — an end to old concepts economics. Not anti anything here, but is anyone trying to get ready for all of this?😬

We need some sort of payment system for AI scraping and then reselling access to content of any kind. Let fully non-profit/non-monetizable models avoid payment. Also, Reddit and these other social media companies should not be monetizing other people's posts without revenue sharing.

I'd also like to be able to bill all the AI companies for my time in configuring web servers and CDNs to reject their crawlers.
