I like Mr. Froomkin's version better because it's truthful. It's too bad he couldn't interview the president.On the other hand, trump would have left the interview after the first couple of questions. My biggest problem is with these big outlets just caving to him, taking what he says at face value.

True, but for what purpose? If they're just going to publish the administration's talking points or press releases the media doesn't need to be there at all anyway. So why? Access only matters to hold the government accountable and the media is failing in that regard spectacularly over and over.
