I’ve been super busy so far this week and have not had time to play so far. Is it true that you can’t use Foundation Model Framework without updating your dev machine to macOS 26? I was looking forward to messing with that but that will slow me down. 🙁

If you update an iPhone or iPad, you can run the models there, but they don’t run in the simulator

Ok, that makes sense, thanks Matt. I wish my dev device catalog wasn't looking so sad these days! To be clear - would they run on the sim if the computer was on the beta?

That I don’t know for sure - no way to test yet! I was approved for a lab today, though, so I’ll ask (in 11 hours - hopefully you’ll have an answer by then 😜)

I asked - if you had Xcode 26 running on macOS 26, the Foundation Models should work in the simulator. The issue is that the simulators depend on the models existing on the OS to run. I'm going to file a feedback to hopefully make them available during the beta cycle
