I just went uptown to buy a few things from a couple local stores. Circled the neighbourhood following detour signs and parking restrictions and after 15 minutes of not even getting out of my car, came back home, didn't buy a thing. Does City Hall hate Uptown businesses?

Sadly, I’ve heard this story on repeat far too often. The answer is a lotta “blah blah greater good” from folks whose salary isn’t affected in the least by it.

This is unacceptable. What is the Business Improvement Association for If not to fight this on behalf of local businesses? That's the whole point! What I saw this morning was an absolute mauling of our retail district. Our local shops look like victims of oppressors.
