this was gonna be a sidebar to something else i’m working on and then it wound up being 2500 words longtime friends may have noticed some shifts in my fandoms. new folks may be curious. i needed to write about it to process it better

Love this, Jesse. My 9y/o got big into the Mets this summer and so I started rocking a Mets hat. Re: toxic fan bases, I get a very different reception from fellow Mets fans than I get from NY Rangers fans. There’s definitely a toxicity that follows certain teams. It was shocking.
