A cool thing about games is that sometimes even when I'm playing a bad one I still find myself thinking "but someone built this whole virtual world and now I'm moving through it??? That's so cool!"

Yeah, there are game features (or lack thereof) and full games that I may really not like but then my mind goes towards 'someone out there made/designed this, someone was hovering over their head with deadlines and budgets, etc.' then i feel a lil bad and dont feel that critical anymore.

this is exactly how i feel. i mean, i couldn't do better without having to put in the work, and even then,,,

I've dabbled a bit in game making and level design. Can say it only amplifies that thinking 😄 It's pretty amazing when you start to realize the time and energy that went into the game, knowing how hard it is to just do a good initial block out.

I agree! Even when I thoroughly dislike a game, it's almost impossible for me to sit there and rip it to shreds - that it got made and exists at all seems like quite an achievement to me. And I recognise that my ability to enjoy these creations at all is quite a privilege.

Its even more interesting that they also put a little part of their culture or what theyre environment is... especially in roblox where you get to see more individual player made a small game that includes a part of their culture or just revolves around their hometown...
