Illustration of one of the indignities of getting around Newark. Super wide seven lane surface highway in the middle of downtown. So of course the benches have to face away from the traffic. Not going to be a comfortable place to sit regardless. More of an attempt at delineating away from the cars

It's actually Broad St. There are so many Newark. Raymond Blvd too.

Broad St is a lot like McArthur Hwy. They both come from that interchange near the airport, but Broad St absorbs all the traffic heading north and to Bloomfield Ave. It’s really just a highway. I hate it. There are actually bus lanes on it, but nobody observes them.

Also very strange the name of the street. Supposedly it was changed to some old mayor’s name, even Apple Maps uses the name but it’s still Broad St?? It’s very confusing.

I have driven on a literal drag strip and I'm pretty sure it was narrower than Raymond Blvd.
