This "ai code/art is already everywhere and impossible to avoid so you should just relax about people using it" shit has to stop, it's not remotely true. Same exact shit as "it's the inevitable future!" or "you can't put the genie back in the bottle!!" We can literally do whatever the fuck we want

It's wild. Like, yeah, I can't avoid the AI code embedded in Unity at my dayjob where we use Unity... But I sure as shit could look at alternatives going forward! (Whether I have a better choice for my project aside, I DO at least have a choice to do something else)

As an indie Unity dev I never touch the AI features, period, and pray to the gods for the day that shit will be removed from all software everywhere. NOTHING about my game uses AI. Absolutely everything about it is hand made.

Unfortunately, the engine itself is being written with AI coding tools these days. The way I'm seeing it - I can't avoid it completely, but I can make choices to avoid the most blatant AIgen code. I can't fully vet every single library, plugin or engine component though.
