I know I don't have a ton of media followers, but I'll put this out there anyway: if you need someone to comment/offer context on the removal of the slavery exhibit at the President's House site in Philly, get in touch. I just finished an entire book on Americans' fight over Washington and slavery.

I was sickened when I saw this move today. It is National Park land so guessing there isn't anything Philly can do, maybe set up a display outside the NP land?

I was in Philly a few years ago. Loved most everything about it. Especially the history. It's not being erased. It happened. They just want everything uncomfortable to be hidden. We will remember.

I did their summer program for history undergrads when I was a freshman in college, it was my first sign that I might actually be good at this history thing! Would love to do a book talk with them.

If You want to chronicle something that is dear to the hearts of #mils of Citizens, write about: "WHAT HAPPEN TO ALL THE VALUBLE ARTIFACTS&PRICELESS HISTORICAL AMERICAN TREASURES FORMERLY IN,THE EASTWING"? Where did it"ALL"GO, to "Mar-a-Lago"? To be seen"Nevermore, Nevermore"...amirite"Edgar Allan"?

Look forward to your book! Started Chernow’s book but couldn’t finish due to the apologist take on Washington as a slave owner, including a passage balancing Washington selling slaves that aggravated him into certain death in the Caribbean against him allowing one slave to have a last name.

As a Canadian I learned about this during during a bathroom stop at the New York State Museum in Albany. Wow he sucked! Thanks for writing a book about it (I also initially thought you meant you *read* a book… writing one is definitely more notable!)
