9/11 is hitting me differently this year. This year I'm mourning all that we, as a country, have lost as a result of 9/11. With everything that is going on in this country right now it has really brought it into focus. The most valuable thing that we, as a country, have lost is our freedom.

It's been 25 years. The day that changed the course of history for generations & shifted the trajectory of nations. 9/11 remains indelible, a forever scar cut into us by the blunt edge of hate & treated by the bravery of love. We remember who & where we were but we're still becoming who we will be.
