We’re gonna eventually arrive at a time where deviant techbros will claim (or even try) to digitally store people’s memories and souls, for a price. Pundits will look back at this book and wonder if @marygthompson.bsky.social saw the future. 2/

What makes PRECIOUS CHILDREN great aren’t just the questions it raises, but the gutpunch that lingers like a bruise. (Shoutout to @sadiehartmann.bsky.social @scribeofhades.bsky.social @claymcleod.bsky.social who KNOW.) It’s science fiction. It’s horror. It’s one of the best SF novels of the year. 3/

Two final thoughts — 1) This is not my cover art. 2) The book is around 48,000 words. Even though it’s lean and mean, each chapter demands your attention. When you’re voting for next year’s Hugos and Nebulas — it’s a novel, even though it zips like a novella. Highly recommended. 4/

I LOVED this book and everything I've read by Mary G. Thompson.
