Pretty sure my gamedev-related posts here have started getting replies from accounts run by AI chatbots, made to promote a single game.

I guess I’ll start hitting “Hide reply for everyone” at the slightest suspicion, and also report for spam if it’s obvious enough.

Anyway, I guess randomly replying to someone with a compliment and either a question or a cheer is now a bot tell. Fucking heinous.

Oooof, because I kinda liked dropping in on random people's projects and telling them it's cool... Not gonna stop now, but still. How long until the bots have pushed us out of the internet?

I think those of us weirdos who were here from the early days are not going anywhere, but there's definitely a chance they'll push out the normies.
