Ugly intersection of investor preference for profits over jobs, AI, and upcoming collapse in retail sales. FYI already in 2021-22 some USA private equity analysts where already predicting the “end of the world as we know it” to begin in 2023 (coincidentally? post-public release of chatgpt…)

A reminder: most of the THINGS you can buy on Amazon are made in China. You can buy directly from the manufacturers by ordering from Temu for way less $. Bonus: Temu's packaging is smart and minimal. Also, order your books from independent bookstores and from Barnes and Noble, because F*CK Bezos!

About further Amazon layoffs: Just how shitty can Amazon be & STILL rake in bazillions for the Board? What's the sweet spot? It used to be GREAT: 2 day deliveries to rural areas! For rural teachers, it was a miracle. I've quit. You're lucky to get the actual item you ordered - & in under 10 days

Just saying, connect those dots: * they want to fire everybody * they are not interested in universal income, or any money being given to poor people, even those who are paying taxes (which is 100% since there are consumption taxes) * they want to kill homeless people

If the local supermarkets carried drip coffee at a normal price we’d boycott Whole Foods too as most of what Bezos does there is crap too. We completely boycott Prime. Our Stock Coffee is up to ~ $6.12 a WF and $7.99+ at other East Bay grocers.

To be clear, it’s now $5.50 for prime shoppers. We refuse to do Prime. Americans need to put their feet down and flee Prime and reclaim our ability to impact retailers. Same thing for Airline Credit Cards, stay out of the commercial grift life.

It’s spelled Stok. The non-prime sales price always rings up higher on the Stock Coffee at the Berkeley Gilman store so I take a picture now. We’ll go off coffee when it gets too costly. We’ve finally ditched icecream. We don’t trust WholeFoods 360 brand under Bezos and don’t ever buy it. States 🌋
