I deeply regret to announce fountain pens are fun, actually

Have you been to The Outpost in Pioneer Square?

Not yet, will have to stop there during my next sounders game

They haven't been open long, but I know they did a Fountain Pen 101 class recently and will probably do it again. And JetPens sells a fountain pen starter kit that's perpetually out of stock, but I think you can get notified when it comes back. It's a somewhat-affordable way to try several at once.

Pilot Varsities are fun because while they are sold as disposable pens, it is possible to refill them. It takes a certain amount of courage and enough time to soak the last of the original ink out of the insides, but it can be done.
