Would be one thing if they had told you that they are going to be late or something. But expecting others to halt their plans for oneself without any notice is rather rude in my opinion.

I am quite time-blind myself. My sense of time is barely there and I will be fricked without my mobile phone and me checking regularly to see what time, weekday and date we have currently. But that's a "me" issue. It's my responsibility to make sure to inform the people I agreed to meet if I'm late
