this Trump FCC "foreign router ban" is basically just unworkable extortion slop that's just going to cause headaches and drive up costs for everyone under the pretense of improving national security, but 90% of the press coverage tries really hard to pretend any of it makes sense

companies that are applying for exemptions aren't being transparent about what they have to do to get the exemption. Big bribe? Backdoors for ICE access? Who knows! And it's impossible for companies to adhere because pointless wars and tariffs have driven up the cost of components. Great stuff!
