One of the reasons that I'm skeptical of artificial intelligence is that human intelligence seems to be on the rapid decline. The output of artificial intelligence will need to be judged by humans. We'd be better off spending money on human intelligence through public education.

I would love to see a study of who hallucinates more, people or AI. Given so many people who believe “it’s on the evening news, but the US isn’t REALLY sending people to cages”….. I know the bar is higher for AI than humans, like how we accept higher crash rates from humans than self-driving cars.

I always tell my partner that the brain is essentially a muscle. It needs consistent exercise or it atrophies. Exercise for the brain is constant learning.
