My brain is just not having it with higher-voiced narrators for falling asleep lately, you see. Sometimes it will accept them. I've been know to fall asleep listening to Elizabeth Knowelden reading Lady Hardcastle books. But currently it wants masculine voices. And English accents.

Argh, headache. Can't get to sleep. I'm making coffee. And I'm gonna take some vitamin D and a painkiller. Do I want to switch from the Bosch audiobook I was trying to fall asleep to? Hm. The Mumbai mystery book was seeming okay.

I wrote "UK accents" first, but I started a crime novel narrated by Alan Cumming and that was not successful. Part of that could've been that the book made Glasgow sound like an untidy landfill. It was just too bleak. I know! I am astonished I could think such a thing!

Anyway, I have several audiobooks I'm partway into that are narrated by women and I have to try to listen to during waking hours, which is tricky, because I also want to listen to podcasts and read articles and fuck around in ways I can't while tucked in bed.
