Whenever I think about AI anthropomorphism I come back to Murderbot and the AI in Long Way to a Small Angry Planet, for both of whom I have shed tears. Because a human made them up *really well*.

Like Me: How can anyone dare not to recognize Murderbot's personhood just because it's a construct? ART is a godlike being! AI agent: Please give my hands work or I will starve Me: lol pathetic spam bot programming

Point being, and I am a negroni in here, that if an *artistic representation* of a humanised AI has made you feel fuzzy towards actual AI, you have missed the point by some hundred miles. Be fuzzy towards the brilliant writers.

And if some goddamn chatbot makes you feel it's achieved personhood, please go talk to some people.
