I ran into this last night. I was interrupted twice by someone while trying to just explain something to a third person, and told them "I just want you to know, being interrupted pisses me off." Response: "Oh so when you do it, it’s okay." A) if I was doing that, TELL ME. I always ask people to be

up front when I know I’m gonna be talking with them a long time since I might not notice. B) Three rights make a left, but that doesn’t mean you should do what you claim to know is wrong. C) This person gets annoyed whenever I talk AT ALL. INCLUDING when she asks me something.

In summary: Someone excitedly talking a bunch of trying to get a word in doesn’t mean they’re being intentionally rude if they genuinely don’t know. Doing so SPECIFICALLY to shut them up is.
