I had no idea Wizards did open submissions! Unfortunately, I’m more of a colourist, so most of my work is on other people’s lines. I’m not a great illustrator. But it’s great for others who are!

We started a little over a year ago. Hey now, colorists do very important work!

A good reminder, ty! I'm sometimes not sure about submitting since I mostly only have dragons and landscapes. It feels like a well-covered category lol. But perhaps I could throw it into the stack this year :)

It is ALWAYS worth putting yourself out there! There could be a set that is perfect for you :)

I am curious if you don't mind my asking... do you and the other Art Directors look through the submissions fairly consistently as they come in throughout the year, or is it more of a check more on a quarterly (or other interval) basis?

Honestly we all run on different schedules juggling projects so we look when there is free time for each of us individually. Could be weekly, monthly, quarterly, just depends on the AD or team looking.

If you don’t hear from us right away it is not because you are forgotten! We are hand picking through HUNDREDS/ Thousands of artists to match with specific set needs. If you’ve ever wanted want you can resubmit after 6 months. If you have any questions feel free to ask :)
