I understand the instinct to donate to orgs that are helping trans folks flee red states but let's not forget about the orgs that are still fighting for trans folks in red states.

like this isn't 2012, there are no national queer rights orgs who are flush with cash. Everyone I speak with is dramatically cutting their budgets. And red state queer orgs are always fighting uphill on a shoestring budget. My challenge to you today is to google a red state queer org and donate.

I’d like to know what @aclukansas.bsky.social is doing to fight this. I’d like to donate to fight for trans people who want to stay in Kansas.
