Hello atmosphere ! Over the last few weeks, a bunch of us have been collaborating on a new set of lexicons for publishing, indexing, and building out social features across long-form reading and writing apps ! 🧵1/7

Hello Standard.site ! Please make my day and tell me that there is a repository somewhere with these definitions? ( I'll take @tangled.org or @github.com ) I've been generating a page for known lexicons, and want to make it a Standard.Site.

So, the lexicons themselves aren't on there. That repository is just the tooling to generate them. You can view them here though: lexicon.garden/identity/@st...

Yeah Lexicon Garden is a handy site. And/also, lexicon "self-discovery" should totally be a thing. Like I would possibly kill for a single standard endpoint on xrpc that outputted the lexicons for that site. Which brings up another standard.site idea... standard.site.service/endpoint ... ?

standard.site does have the DNS records setup for lexicon resolution, so all of their lexicon records are discoverable. standard.site > TXT _lexicon.standard.site > PDS collection "com.atproto.lexicon.schema"

Yeah this may have performance benefits but, IMO, is nowhere near as "discoverable" to the layperson as a standard endpoint.
