@leaflet.pub Can I update my publication tool to use @standard.site's lexicon to be published on pankzsoft.leaflet.pub now?
The standard.site lexicons define whats necessary for content to move across social boundaries. It doesn't define things like complex themes, or content formats, but since lexicons are extensible, each developer can add those themselves. We think we struck a pretty good balance.
If you have a website or run a platform, you can start publishing records with standard.site lexicons today!
Hey ! More documentation is coming soon, you can check out how it has been implemented by @pckt.blog or @leaflet.pub, here’s an example document record from pckt: pdsls.dev/at://did:plc:revjuqmkvrw6fnkxppqtszpv/site.standard.document/3mdq4trxw222y
Do you think this could be extended to building replacements for fb groups / nextdoor? This: joinroundabout.com does not seem to be based on ATproto, but tries to extend blogging into enabling local communities, promoting local journalism and ultimately rebuilding social trust that is often lost.
Hello Standard.site ! Please make my day and tell me that there is a repository somewhere with these definitions? ( I'll take @tangled.org or @github.com ) I've been generating a page for known lexicons, and want to make it a Standard.Site.
So, the lexicons themselves aren't on there. That repository is just the tooling to generate them. You can view them here though: lexicon.garden/identity/@st...
I think lexicon.community might be a better home for the kind of stuff it sounds like you're thinking about! we're really thinking of standard.site specifically for "sites", longform content on the internet
The big underlying success story here is that AT makes it easy to “fall into the pit of interoperability”. blog.codinghorror.com/falling-into...
Another question, what motivated the decision to form a separate body and domain from @lexicon.community?
We don't aim to replace @lexicon.community but we all had similar implementations and decided it'd be a good time to collab to build the future of publishing. We'll be keeping things specific to publishing long-form and sites also
