(Thread) 5 Reasons Charities Struggle to Enter Video Games & Streaming for Fundraising and awareness Charities face key obstacles that make the transition tough, & seeing others achieve success without fully understanding how they got there makes it an even more challenging barrier to overcome.

Lack of in-house Expertise: Charities often lack the knowledge of how gaming partnerships & streaming works. There are many opportunities in the world of gaming & streaming which look amazing from the outside, but can feel completely alien when attempting to step into it without knowledge/expertise.

Audience Engagement: Building a community is crucial. Many charities struggle to find ways to connect with gamers and streamers, missing out on the power of a loyal, active community ready to support causes who they resonate with.

Content Creation: Fundraising streams require consistent, high-quality content to keep their audiences engaged. Not all charities have the capacity or resources to create engaging content that gamers & streamers expect & need to support you in the ways that work for them and their communities.

2/2 The potential for mass exposure to new audiences can be daunting, raising concerns about misrepresentation or losing the core message. However, these fears are often unfounded and can be overcome by having better understanding of the space.
