Myth #6: Doctors cannot help people with ME/CFS. ❌ There are no FDA-approved treatments yet, but doctors can help manage symptoms like poor sleep, pain, and heart issues. Swipe to see what the science shows. ➡️ Part 6 of our six-part Myth vs. Fact series. #MECFS

a local long covid clinic (some of those are bad too and some of them have wait lists for years but get on the list and see). An integrating care, post viral illness specialist, chronic pain doc or rhematologist might be willing to try prescribing you one of the common LC meds for symptoms.

a friend w LC had scary bad chest pain. a standard pericarditus med stoped her pain (and may have saved her heart). IDK if her test results showed she had the issue but the treatment worked regardless. Don't let them dismiss you out of hand. (or at least try to get treatment).

the fact that there is no cure doesnt mean there's nothing to be done. And the thing is with an energy limiting illness it is so much harder to find specilty help because you feel like shit. Friends: step the fuck up. Help people. Make someone dinner so they search for a specialist online.
