honest to god, I feel like I need a phd to understand and implement a custom feed… not keen on using the template repo (it seems old and bloated to me) already using @skyfeed.app and it works, but it's missing some needed filtering options (plus our use-case requires search—no good api for that)

wonder if I could pick @redsolver.dev's brain on how index, backfill, and requests work under-the-hood in all likelihood though, it's back to days of reading docs and source code 🥲
