Due to my excessive amount of pepper plants, I had to find a way to use them without them taking up any more freezer space. So I've resorted to drying them to make paprika powder! I did the chilies earlier, with great success. It smells so good here! #greenhouse #gardening #garden #vegetablegarden

Mine are still taking over the top shelf of the freezer. I need to pick the rest soon now it's getting cold and ripen on my windowsill. Need bottles and fermentation weight and I'll make sauce!

My greenhouse is quite good at keeping the warmth, all my plants are in blue painted planter boxes, so they collect heat like mad during the day. But a few days of no sunshine it plummets.

I've never had enough peppers to even consider this, but this year I had so much success with my plants that everything survived and I had plants everywhere, even outside, so I had to come up with something. And we use a LOT of paprika powder in our cooking, so this is definitely not wasteful =)

Dried sweet red and yellow peppers are great for snacking. If you have a lot of them you might need to keep them in a container with a desiccant to keep them crisp. Mine never last that long before I gobble them up.
