Yeah. It makes no sense that the cost of electricity being produced by renewables is so high because of its link to gas prices. Then again, much of what this government does makes no sense to me.

Domestic and Nationalised green energy will bring the prices down and increase our own independence

I was told that the high prices were intended as an incentive for renewables. Because they get paid the same as gas companies and their energy costs less, they have money to invest in more renewables.
