Businesses are struggling. You have a country where 99% of businesses are SMEs but the government has no growth agenda. The Government must focus on lowering taxes and allowing companies to employ more people to support our economy. Edward Morello MP

Lower the cost of living & inflation to reduce the upward pressure on wages that further drives inflation & the need for further pay rises which leads to... Utilities, Fuel, Housing... UK is a very costly place to live & make a living - need to alter the system!

🤣🤣🤣 Lowering taxes doesn't encourage employment! It encourages higher returns for owners! Encouraging investment via tax deductions increases benefit in the investment... We're an isolated mature market... growth requires productivity! Investment in people for increased productivity needed!

What(?) for businesses to engage more employees on low wages, that in turn need more low income benefit & financial support from central Gov? How’s balancing the books on this one going to work?

What a completely meaningless statistic. Surely a better measure would be how much they contribute to the economy or how many people they employ? My experience of trying to find people to install a loft ladder or clean my solar panel indicates that 99% of SMEs aren't interested in doing the work.
