the thing that makes populism so hard to resist is that in it, fantasy and reality overlap. there are always abundant examples of elite collusion and malfeasance to "prove" the populists right. but this proof misses the real source of their attachment to populism 1/

I would take this "concern" about slopulism more seriously if I was hearing suggested solutions along the lines of "firing squads" for the grifters polluting the information space.
