@roomy.space Just got the $30/month plan to support! Having issues with the discord bridge getting duplicate messages?

If I had to guess it's because the backfill is still running and people have sent new messages during the backfill process?

We've found sometimes the backfill can make things appear a little strange while it's running. How are things looking for you now? Thank you so much for your support!

ok cool! I also noticed a small amount of duplication happening in our Muni Town space, which is pretty rare - please let me know if it's an ongoing issue once bridging is done and I'll do my best to sort it out for you.

I've also been thinking we should change the bridge to do an initial pass of recent messages as quickly as possible, then go back and backfill the rest in the background in a way that's non-disruptive and shows the progress in the UI. I imagine that would help make it feel smoother

For sure, at first I thought that there would be no backfill at all, but then messages started coming in and I was a little confused. One thing that bummed me out a bit was that the organization of the channels / categories were not mirrored over
